Cell lines with gene overexpression or knockdown, together with reporter gene assays for biological activity, serve as essential tools for studying gene functions, disease mechanisms and drug actions. Upregulating the expression of specific genes enhances gene functions and enables the detection of signal transduction pathways, which helps elucidate the causal relationship between proteins and their functions, as well as interactions between proteins and between proteins and DNA. These tools are also applicable to rescue assays for verifying phenotypic recovery after gene knockout.
Target vectors are delivered into cells via plasmid transfection, lentiviral transduction or adenoviral transduction. Cells are then subjected to drug screening at pre-optimized optimal concentrations until all cells in the blank control group die, yielding cell lines with stable gene expression. Building on extensive research experience, Micro-tech.inc has optimized a full set of experimental procedures to enable rapid and efficient construction of target cell lines, bridging cell function research and cell line development.
